March 10, 2001
A USS Thomas J. Gary mini-reunion was held in Tallahassee, Florida on March 10, 2001.
We socialized at the "HOOTCH", (owned by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Big Bend
Chapter #96) most of the day then had dinner at the "Western Sizzling Steak House"
Although the turnout was small, a good time was had by all.

The gathering was special in that we had in attendance and individual who was a Seaman Second Class ( Richard "Dick" Webster) When The U.S.S. Thomas J. Gary DE-326 was commissioned in 1942 and A Lieutenant Commander ( Jim Shultz) Who was the Executive Officer (X.O.) When The U.S.S. Thomas J. Gary DER-326 Was decommissioned in 1972.
